## What is Meme Asylum?
Meme Asylum is a community-led memecoin launchpad built on Base chain. It uses a unique burn-to-vote mechanism powered by the ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) token. The community votes on which meme coins get minted by burning ECT tokens, making it a truly decentralized and deflationary launchpad.

## How it Works
- Meme Asylum operates on 28-day cycles split into two phases: a 14-day Vote Phase and a 14-day Mint Phase.
- During the Vote Phase, users burn ECT tokens to vote for their favorite meme coin candidates.
- The winning meme coin enters the Mint Phase, where it is launched on Base chain.
