The Asylum is a cyclical ecosystem that revolves around meme creation, token burning, and multiplier-based rewards. It operates through repeating 28-day cycles where users compete to push meme content, earn token multipliers, and strategically trade between tokens. The system uses ECT as the primary token.

What is ECT?
ECT – the base token used for burning, voting, and minting. Meme tokens created in each cycle based on community votes At its core, ASYLUM gamifies token interactions and meme culture by rewarding active participation and timing.

How does the Cycle work?
Meme Asylum runs in 28-day cycles: Vote (days 1–14), then Mint (days 15–28). In Vote, burning ECT earns you a multiplier. In Mint, you burn ECT to mint the cycle token tₙ at that multiplier. You can reverse-burn tₙ back into ECT whenever you want.

What Are The Token Burns?
Step 1 (Days 1–14): Users burn ECT to vote for their preferred meme and lock a minting multiplier.
Multipliers range 2.1×–5.4× based on two factors:
– Burn-rank bonus (how much you burn relative to others)
– Timing bonus (+0.1× per remaining day, max +1.4× on Day 1)
The top-voted meme becomes Memecoin 1.
Step 2 (Days 15–28): Users burn ECT to mint Memecoin 1 at their locked multiplier rate.
The multiplier applies only to the ECT burned in Step 1; additional Step-2 burns mint at 1:1.
Reverse Burn (after minting): Exchange Memecoin 1 → ECT at rates that improve as supply decreases—
from 1× up to 32× when supply falls below 1/32 of the original supply, creating strong deflationary pressure.
The Neverending Cycle Explained
Vote (Days 1–14)
- Goal Pick the meme for the cycle and earn your personal multiplier.
- Action Burn ECT to vote/nominate. Each burn adds to your eligibility toward a higher multiplier.
- Outcome A multiplier is locked at the end of Day 14 and tied to you for this cycle only. It boosts how much tₙ you can mint in Part 2.
- Notes Voting itself doesn’t mint tokens; it sets your minting power. Multiplier does not carry to future cycles
Mint (Days 15–28)
- Goal Use your multiplier to mint the cycle token (Meme Coin)
- Action Burn ECT any time in this window to mint (Meme Coin) at your locked multiplier. You can mint once or in multiple transactions.
- Formula (Meme Coin) minted = ECT burned × multiplier.
- Deadline: Minting closes at the end of Day 28; unused multiplier expires with the cycle. Example: If your multiplier is 1.4× and you burn 1,000 ECT, you mint 1,400 (Meme Coin)
- Anytime You may reverse-burn (Meme Coin) → ECT via the protocol. Fewer (Meme Coin) in circulation can improve the redemption factor. At Day 28 the story resets—new meme, new multiplier.

How you hit it
Step 1 (Days 1–14): Burn ECT on Day 1 (for the full +1.4× timing bonus) and place in the top burn-rank tier.
That locks 5.4× for the ECT you burned in Step 1.
Step 2: You mint Memecoin 1 at that locked rate; any extra ECT burned now mints 1:1 (no extra multiplier).
Related but separate: the Reverse Burn (Memecoin 1 → ECT) can reach up to 32× when supply drops below 1/32, but that’s a conversion rate, not your minting multiplier.
